DESCRIPTION:September Trail Recap – Kai Iwi Lakes \nSeptember was an absolute blast running the trails out at Kai Iwi Lakes! We had a solid group make the trip all the way west to enjoy some of the most runnable and scenic trails Northland has to offer. And the day was topped off perfectly with post-run coffee and kai generously provided by our awesome members. \nA big thank you goes out to Shaun and Nadine\, as well as Liz and Ron\, for their extra effort in organizing – it made all the difference! \n\nOctober Trail Run – Tanekaha Forest\, Mangawhai \nThis month we’re heading south once more – this time to take on the mighty Tanekaha Forest near Mangawhai. Our local trail scout tells us the tracks are mostly runnable\, with a few tricky bits and a decent dose of hills thrown in for good measure. \nDistances: \n\n\nAn 8.5km loop \n\n\nA longer loop (exact distance TBD) for those wanting a bigger challenge \n\n\nDetails: \n\n\n📍 Meeting Point: Tanekaha Walking Track\, 302B King Road\, Mangawhai 0573 \n\n\n🕘 Run Start: 9:00am \n\n\n☕ Post-Run: Coffee and food afterwards – as always! \n\n\nBring your trail shoes\, a good attitude\, and maybe a sense of adventure.
