DESCRIPTION:May sees the return of an all time favourite away run. The Whananaki Coastal Trail.\nIf you haven’t runt this trail before it’s a stunning coastal run with some nice trails underfoot and some gentle rolling hills. \nThis is an out and back run. With the option to turn at the Cpt Bougainville Memorial which is an appx 10km run. Or continuing all the way through to the Whananaki township. This is around a 20km out and back. \nCome along and enjoy running with us on this great trail. \nStart Time: 8am\nFrom: The Sandy Bay carpark \nCoffee after at the Black Stump in Glenbervie.

SUMMARY:Athletics Northland Cross Country Championship 2023
DESCRIPTION:The Athletics Northland Cross Country Championship is an event jointly organised by Hātea Run & Athletics Whangārei\, to be held at Barge Park. This event is for everyone\, no matter your age\, speed or experience. \nNorthland Cross Country Championship Distances & Course\nThe course is a marked and measured 2km loop. As such we will be allowing for people to run 2\, 4\, 6\, 8 and 10k distances. \nCategories\n\nUnder 12s – 1 lap\n13-18 – 2 laps\n19-25 – 3 laps\nOpen men – 5 laps\nOpen women – 4 laps\nMasters women (30+) – 3 laps\nMasters men (30+) – 4 laps\nWalkers – 1 or 2 laps (Entrants MUST walk\, if they are seen running they will be put in the running results)\n\n \nThe race starts at 2pm sharp\, so make sure you turn up with plenty of time to get registered and pay any entry fees. Last minute entries on the day have to be in by 1.15pm and race briefing is at 1.45pm. All distances start at the same time\, so it’s a mass start. You are responsible for keeping track of how many laps you have run. \nAt the finish you will be given a place token\, which you will need to give to the person correlating the results before leaving the finishing chute. Speak clearly when providing them with your name and chosen distance\, since they may not know who you are. \nThe official distances to be acknowledged as the fastest Northland runner\, are 8km for women and 10km for men. Women are welcome to run 10km if they wish. The winners of each distance will be acknowledged at during tea after 3pm. \nEntry Fee\nEntry is free for Hātea Run & Athletics Whangārei members and $7 per person for everyone else. Please can club members run in their club shirts on the day. \nTea & Biscuits will be provided to entrants by the clubs at Tiffanys cafe from 3pm. \nWhangārei Cross Country Venue

DESCRIPTION:Our May 2023 Last Sunday of the month run will be taking place around the Cartwright / Money Factory loop in Onerahi. We last ran this together as a club in last May as it happens… which is an interesting coincidence and not by design. Both courses meet at their respective locations at 7.20am\, leaving at 7.30am \nWhen & Where?\nWe have 2 different start locations for this one. \n10.5km The Loop\nStarting & finishing from the Onerahi Rugby Club car park\, which will be around 10km with options to extend on additional single trail or down the Waimahanga track. Leaving at 7.30am this course loops anti-clockwise\, finishing with a cruisy jog along Riverside Drive and up Onerahi hill. \n \n16.5km The Loop\nStarting & finishing from the Te Matau A Pohe bridge car park the course will be around 17km. Leaving at 7.30am\, this course turns left onto Awaroa River Road\, making it a clockwise loop so everyone give high-five as the two crews pass each other through the forestry. \n \nPost Run Coffee\nWe will be heading to Serenity Cafe for coffee and post run refuelling. \nHave fun\, take fluids and take care. As such we will be allowing for people to run 2\, 4\, 6\, 8 and 10k distances. \n \nThe race starts at 2pm sharp\, so make sure you turn up with plenty of time to get registered and pay any entry fees. All distances start at the same time\, so it’s a mass start. You are responsible for keeping track of how many laps you have run. \nAt the finish you will be given a place token\, which you will need to give to the person correlating the results before leaving the finishing chute. Speak clearly when providing them with your name and chosen distance\, since they may not know who you are. \nThe official distances to be acknowledged as the fastest Northland runner\, are 6km for women and 10km for men. Women are welcome to run 10km if they wish. The winners of each distance will be acknowledged at during tea after 3pm. \nEntry Fee\nEntry is free for Hātea Run & Athletics Whangārei members and $5 per person for everyone else. \nTea & Biscuits will be provided to entrants by the clubs at Tiffanys cafe from 3pm. \nWhangārei Cross Country Venue
