SUMMARY:Sunday Away Run - Waipu to Waipu Cove
DESCRIPTION:Join us on the last Sunday of the month as we embark on a relaxed social run where we explore some new trails a little further afield.\nThis Away Run will take us to the trail that runs from Waipu through to Waipu Cove. This presents us with a chance to run the recently completed section of trail\, and makes the run from Waipu all the way into Waipu Cove a complete trail\, no roads yay.  \nWhat to expect? Some gentle hills and gravel paths makes for an easier trail run.\nThis will be an out and back run. DESCRIPTION:Hatea Run on behalf of Northland Athletics is excited to welcome you to the Northland Road Championships hosted by Hatea Run. \nThis event is a highlight of our regional road running calendar and a fantastic opportunity for athletes of all ages to compete\, challenge themselves\, and enjoy the strong Northland running community. \nThe course will run around the footpaths of part of the loop and down riverside drive toward Onerahi. \nRegister Here: https://nrc26.events.mygameday.app \n \nWalkers are warmly welcome\, making this a great inclusive event for all abilities\, whether you’re racing for a championship title or taking part for the experience. \nWith the NZ Road champs taking place August 29th\, the Road Champs are perfectly timed as a key lead-in event for the upcoming relay season. \nEvent Registration Information \nEveryone is welcome to enter and participate in the Athletics Northland Road Championships hosted by Hatea Run. \nAthletes who are not affiliated with a Northland Athletics club are welcome to compete for a $10 entry fee. While non-affiliated athletes are eligible to place in the event and appear in the overall results\, they are not eligible for Northland Championship titles or medals. \nNorthland club athletes are reminded to ensure their 2026/27 Athletics New Zealand membership is current to be eligible for championship titles\, medals\, and official championship results. \nOn offer is:\n10km Run\n10km Walk\n5km Run\n5km Walk\n2.5km Kids \nTake Note:\nChampionship medals awards to the below categories\, aligning with Athletics New Zealand regulation: \n \n \nStart and Finish from Pohe Island by the main Car Park\, look for the Hatea Run tent and flags. \nThe course is a double out and back for the 10km and a single out and back for the 5km. \nRegister Here: https://nrc26.events.mygameday.app
