DESCRIPTION:Last end-of-month run took us to the awesome people of Kerikeri\, where we enjoyed a beautiful run along the Kerikeri River Trail—and even better company with the Reset Run Club! \n \nThis month\, on September 28th\, we’re heading to the stunning Kai Iwi Lakes for another great outing. Come join us for a flat and scenic 8km loop around the big lake—or\, if you’re up for more\, tackle all three lakes for a total of 14km. \n🕘 Start Time: 9:00am — come a little early so we can sort into pace/distance groups.🏃‍♂️ Options: \nA flat and scenic 8km loop around the big lake \nOR go big and run all three lakes for a 14km total \n🚗 Carpooling will be available from Whangārei — let us know if you want to join and ride with others. \n☕ Post-run coffee: TBC — but you know we’ll find somewhere good! \nAll levels welcome. DESCRIPTION:September Trail Recap – Kai Iwi Lakes \nSeptember was an absolute blast running the trails out at Kai Iwi Lakes! We had a solid group make the trip all the way west to enjoy some of the most runnable and scenic trails Northland has to offer. And the day was topped off perfectly with post-run coffee and kai generously provided by our awesome members. \nA big thank you goes out to Shaun and Nadine\, as well as Liz and Ron\, for their extra effort in organizing – it made all the difference! \n\nOctober Trail Run – Tanekaha Forest\, Mangawhai \nThis month we’re heading south once more – this time to take on the mighty Tanekaha Forest near Mangawhai. Our local trail scout tells us the tracks are mostly runnable\, with a few tricky bits and a decent dose of hills thrown in for good measure. \nDistances: \n\n\nAn 8.5km loop \n\n\nA longer loop (exact distance TBD) for those wanting a bigger challenge \n\n\nDetails: \n\n\n📍 Meeting Point: Tanekaha Walking Track\, 302B King Road\, Mangawhai 0573 \n\n\n🕘 Run Start: 9:00am \n\n\n☕ Post-Run: Coffee and food afterwards – as always! \n\n\nBring your trail shoes\, a good attitude\, and maybe a sense of adventure. DESCRIPTION:🏃‍♀️ Waipu Coastal Walkway Run – November Meetup 🏃‍♂️ \nThis month\, we’re heading to the beautiful Waipu Coastal Walkway\, starting from Waipu Cove.It’s a stunning coastal run from Waipu Cove through to Langs Beach\, returning along the same path. \nThe full out-and-back route is 5 km\, with a small section of rock hopping across the “pancake rocks.”For those keen to go a bit further\, there’s also the option to continue on the Cove to Waipu Trail. \n🕘 Start Time: 9:00 AM☕ Coffee after: The Cove Café \nCome along for a scenic run\, great company\, and a well-earned coffee at the end! \nThis will be the last away run for the year. We’ll be returning after the summer break to some new trails in February.
