2025 Hatea Grand Prix – Event 2 Results

Kia Ora all, 

A warm and sunny evening greeted participants tonight for round 2 of the Hatea Grand Prix. Tonight we recieved the largest attendance ever to a Grand Prix event with a 76 participants. It was great to see not only Hatea members participating but members of Athletics Whangarei, Whangarei Triathlon club, City Cricket Club, and Northland Hockey coming along for a run. We also had visitors from the USA welcome Cameron and Claire we hope you enjoyed your Hatea experience!

Run director / Hatea Club Captain Dennis Langford got proceedings underway with the usual briefing and then explained how the bonus points system worked. Hopefully we used our brain and didnt set too fast of a time last week, otherwise come week 5, it’ll get quite tricky.

As always thank you to the Dennis and his gang of mighty volunteers, Riccardo for taking the awesome photos, and everyone for coming along and making the Hatea Community as awesome as it is. 

Last but not least thanks to Allan Dow, and Des from Trek Trail and Fish for donating some prizes.
