2025 Hatea Grand Prix – Event 3 Results

Evening All!

Beautifully hot (is that a saying?) conditions greeted 64 competitors for round 3 of the Hatea Grand Prix on Wednesday evening at Tikipunga Sports park. The ground was hard, the grass was short, and we even had spectators supporting us calling refering to us as ‘Aunty’ and ‘uncle’ yell.

As your club president, I have been amazed by your support of this event. When I first thought of the Hatea Grand Prix concept all the way back in 2020, Hatea didn’t have a very large membership at the time may 40 members, and we were over the moon at the first event when we had 30 people show up. Now we regularly have 60 showing up! amazing. So a big thank you from me to everyone who helps make this community event as amazing as it is.

As always thank you to the Dennis and his gang of mighty volunteers, Riccardo for taking the awesome photos, and everyone for coming along and making the Hatea Community as awesome as it is.

Best of luck to our Hatea Members running at Tarwera Ultramarathon this weekend.

102km: Tracey Rodger-Burtwell

50km: Steve Trass, Kay & John Lengyel, Sam Rout, Simone Ackermann, Dwayne Collecutt, Allan Staite, & Shannon-Leigh Litt

21km: Hayden Bell

Miler Pacer: Glenn Fulton

Medical Tent Volunteer: David Nielsen

Anyway enough jibber jabber from me, here are your results.

Till next time, Happy Running cool
