A Soggy Finish

William Fraser Memorial Park played host to 31 exceptional runners who attended the Athletics Northland Road Championships this Sunday morning. The rain did it’s best to hold off until the end, alas, it did not and dumped on the final third of the runners out there. No doubt it was a nice way to actively cool off through their final push towards the finish line.

The turn out was phenomenal, with representatives from all three of the major running clubs in Northland, vying for the title of Northland Road Running Champion. A nice cross section of ages and gender was great to see. Thank you all for attending.
